You may request a pre-configured RDP shortcut by sending an email to customerservice@profittools.net or follow the steps below to setup access to your hosted environment.
- Click start
, type "mstsc", and press enter. - Select "Remote Desktop Connection" and wait for the Remote Desktop Connection window to open.
- Click on the computer icon in the top left and select "About" to view the Remote Desktop Connection version information. If it says "Remote Desktop Protocol 8.1 supported" skip to step 4. If it says "Remote Desktop Protocol 7.1 supported" you must download the following two updates for Windows 7.

- You must reboot the computer after both updates have been downloaded and installed.
- Open the Remote Desktop Connection window, select "Options", select the "Advanced" tab, and select the "Settings" button under "Connect from anywhere".
- Select "Use these RD Gateway server settings".
- Server Name: k2rdg-02.vdesktopcloud.com
- Enable "Bypass RD Gateway server for local addresses".
- Enable "Use my RD Gateway credentials for the remote computer".
- Select OK
- Select the "General" tab, enter the server name provided by Profit Tools, your hosted username, select "Allow me to save credentials", and select "Save As" to save the RDP shortcut to your desktop.
- Name the RDP shortcut "Profit Tools (vDesktop)" and save the RDP shortcut to your desktop.
- Double-click the new RDP shortcut on your desktop, enter your username and password, select "Remember my credentials", and select "OK" to login.
