Prerequisite:
- Install Profit Tools client: Run the Profit Tools client, i.e. P:\ptclient\Setup.exe (Select Reinstall if prompted. Accept all defaults. Select No to Reboot)
- Install PTEncryption (used for emailing from Profit Tools)
P:\Install Files\PTEncryption.exe (accept all defaults) - Install Pegasus:
P:\Pegasus7_64.exe (Password is ‘alias’ accept all defaults) (Required for Imaging)
Additional Steps are REQUIRED for Billing / Invoice Transfer:
- Sybase Print Driver
Recommend using “HP – HP LaserJet 2300 PS Class Driver”, if you do not have this print driver install proceed with downloading and installing HP Universal PS Driver before creating printer. Open your local computer Printer & Scanners
2. Select ‘Add a Printer or scanner’
When you see “The printer that I want isn’t listed” select this dialog box.
Select “Add a local printer or network printer with manual settings”, click ‘Next’.
-Use an existing port: Select “FILE: (Print to File)”, click ‘Next’
-Select “HP – HP LaserJet 2300 PS Class Driver” or the HP Universal PS driver, click ‘Next’
-Type the Printer name exactly as “Sybase DataWindow PS”; click Next
- Do not share this printer; click Next
-Click Finish (if prompted uncheck to make this your default printer)
Verify the Print Processor is set to winprint – RAW
Right click the new ‘Sybase DataWindow PS’ and select Manage, select the printer properties – Advanced tab. Click on the Print Processor… button.
3. If you integrate Profit Tools with QuickBooks, install QBFC.
-P:\Install Files P:\Install Files\QBFC6_0Installer.exe or QBFC10_oInstaller.exe if using the Canadian version of Quick Books (accept all defaults)
4. Install GhostScript
-From your PTShared\Install Files folder run gs706w32.exe and gs921w64.exe accepting all the defaults. (xxx= version i.e. gs921w64.exe)
-Copy the four files installed in C:\Program Files\gs\gs9.21\bin and paste the files in C:\gs\gs7.06\bin folder.
-In C:\gs\gs7.06\bin, delete files that contain the string “32” in the filename
-In C:\gs\gs7.06\bin, rename the copied using 32 in place of 64. New names for files should be gsdll32.dll, gsdll64.lib, gswin32.exe and gswin32c.exe.
5. Reboot the workstation
**With the never Windows operating system is it advisable to run PT as administrator the first time.
Have the user log in and go the Billing – Billing screen and if you should see a red X next to Ghost Script – Click Fix It.**
